I would like to send our condolences from myself and from every one here at the Southern Interior Chapter who knew Wes. I apprenticed with Wayne Denis back in the 80's and as you know, Wayne doesn't often miss a monthly meeting and as his apprentice, neither did I.
I recall Wes was always there in the Secretary's chair and seemed to have everything under control. It seemed every time anyone would forget a fact, figure or date, Wes could remind him without even looking it up in his notes!! I also recall Wes as a great wealth of knowledge, never too busy to talk and share with anyone, anywhere. It was because of men like Wes Smith, our trade is as honorable as it is. He will be missed but never forgotten.
Sincerely,
Randy Jones, CM
Past President, Southern Interior Chapter
