Owen Tegart came to the U.S. in 1848 and settled in New Albany, Indiana where the majority of the family remained and a large number are buried in the Holy Trinity Cemetery in New Albany. A special thanks to Howard V. Tegart who has done a great deal of research in preparation for this issue by contacting various government archives and cemeteries to compile as much information as possible in such a short time. The following summary of various U.S. Census' indicate the age of the various individual as listed in the appropriate census years.
